Unioverse is a Web3-enabled game development platform where players, developers, and creators can build, own, and trade digital assets across interconnected games. It focuses on user-generated content (UGC), allowing players to create assets like characters, vehicles, and levels that are interoperable across all Unioverse games, giving users true digital ownership and greater value.
Unioverse’s team includes gaming veterans with experience in iconic franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Donkey Kong Country. The CTO, Wyeth Ridgway, worked on Pirates of the Caribbean and WWE2K, while Chief Creative Officer Eric Peterson co-founded Star Citizen. This AAA experience is combined with blockchain technology to build an innovative platform for players.
Unioverse has minted over 1 million digital assets on-chain and has a community of over 250,000 active members. It has launched two games, Proving Grounds and Hoverdrome, and raised over $10 million from top crypto funds like Polygon. More than 140,000 users have registered wallets to participate in token sales and game experiences.
UNIO is used to mint digital assets like weapons and characters, which can be customized and used across all games in Unioverse. Users can also stake UNIO to unlock perks, access platform data, and participate in governance. Additionally, UNIO is used for exclusive tournaments, forming guilds, and managing in-game organizations.
Unioverse’s roadmap includes the public sale of the UNIO token and the Token Generation Event (TGE) starting in October 2024. New user-created assets like starfighters and custom weapons will be introduced, along with Unioverse profile picture avatars and user-generated levels for Hoverdrome. Large-scale creator tournaments and new partnerships with game development studios are also planned.
