In our daily Web3 activities, there is a key role that has been silently supporting us, and that is WalletConnect. This protocol, which was born in 2018, has now become an important link connecting over 600 wallets and 65,000 applications, supporting more than 300 million on-chain operations for 47.5 million users.

The importance of WalletConnect cannot be ignored. It is essentially the infrastructure of Web3, addressing many pain points that users may encounter in their daily operations. For example, without WalletConnect, users may need to repeatedly verify their identity when switching between different chains and applications, which is not only cumbersome but may also pose security risks. WalletConnect effectively resolves these issues through end-to-end encryption technology, and its full on-chain interoperability feature makes interactions between different blockchains seamless.

It is worth noting that WalletConnect recently launched the WCT token on the Optimism and Solana networks, and is gradually rolling out governance and staking functionalities. Considering that WalletConnect supports such a large volume of on-chain activities every day, its potential for generating revenue through ecosystem sharing and value-added services in the future should not be underestimated.

Although WalletConnect may not have received the attention it deserves at the moment, this "ubiquitous yet little-known" infrastructure often contains the most stable investment opportunities. As the Web3 ecosystem continues to develop, the importance of WalletConnect may become increasingly prominent, warranting our ongoing attention.
