The Israeli army expands the military operation area around Gaza City.
On August 24, Jin10 reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the 24th saying that the IDF's 162nd Division, 401st Brigade has returned to the Jabalia area near Gaza City to carry out combat missions. This deployment has expanded the IDF's military operations to more areas surrounding Gaza City. The statement said that the IDF is strengthening control over the area, dismantling the ground and underground infrastructure of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and further weakening Hamas's military capabilities. Currently, the IDF has discovered a tunnel, eliminated armed personnel, and dismantled facilities used to launch attacks against the IDF.
