Transcript of the possibility of some projects becoming ETFs
The statistics table has ETH, SOL, NEAR, AVAX, APT, ADA, XRP, ATOM
This table was made by GSR using the ETF Possibility Score methodology:
- 33% based on decentralization
- 67% based on need.
=> This weight shows that GSR values demand over decentralization in evaluating ETF capabilities.
Currently according to this table in addition to ETH:
- SOL: Second with an overall score of 0.58, there is a balance between 0.4 decentralization and 0.7 demand.
- NEAR: An overall score of 0.00 indicates a low level of likelihood of becoming an ETF, despite having a positive demand score of 0.1.
AVAX, APT, ADA, XRP, and ATOM: All have negative overall scores, indicating a low likelihood of becoming ETFs, with both demand and decentralization scores not high.
VanEck has filed its first Spot Solana ETF application with the SEC, and according to Matthew Sigel, VanEck's head of digital asset research, Solana has the potential to provide an enhanced user experience due to its scalability, speed, and low cost.
