According to a report by the Global Times on April 26, U.S. President Trump admitted during an exclusive interview with Time magazine that his claim during the campaign to "end the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the first day in office" was merely an "exaggerated joke." Trump referred to the ongoing conflict, which has lasted for more than three years, as "Biden's war," and stated that Ukraine provoked the conflict with Russia by seeking to join NATO, asserting that Crimea should remain under Russian control. He also indicated on social media that negotiations with Russia and Ukraine are progressing smoothly, with both sides being "very close" to reaching an agreement.
