The "Bots' Grand Parade" is here! The first national embodied intelligent robot sports event has landed in Wuxi.

"The Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" reported on April 22 (Reporter Chen Mei) that after the Beijing Yizhuang humanoid robot half marathon, the first national embodied intelligent robot sports event will also take place in Wuxi from April 24 to 26. Today, reporters from "The Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" learned that the first embodied intelligent robot sports event will focus on the technological and industrial innovation development of embodied intelligent robots, consisting of an opening ceremony, competition displays, a carnival, and themed conferences.

"Among them, the carnival event will allow the public to interact closely with Bots through various methods such as scene displays and interactive games, experiencing the charm of technological innovation and promoting the popularization and development of technological products." said Li Yang, Secretary-General of the World Robot Competition Organizing Committee.

During the competition showcase segment, reporters from the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily noticed that the competitive display category and the application scenario category became the focus. The competitive display category includes events such as speed running, cross-country running, soccer, basketball, and dance; the application scenario category includes scenes like transportation, intelligent grabbing, indoor rescue, and innovative scene display.

"Compared to the Beijing humanoid robot half marathon, the first national embodied intelligent robot sports event held in Wuxi is a showcase of scale and content that can be described as a 'grand parade' in the field of robotics," said an investor who focuses on the robot sector.

In the investor's view, the above-mentioned competitive demonstration projects not only test the robots' perception and environmental adaptability, motion control and coordination, endurance and battery life, but also assess the robots' decision-making and planning abilities, which is the "brain" capability of the robots.

"Especially in dynamic decision-making, such as in sports like football and basketball, Bots need to make real-time decisions based on the game situation, such as passing, shooting, or defending. In terms of motion control and coordination abilities, some companies' Bots can achieve flexible joints and precise motion control capabilities to perform complex actions, such as rotations and jumps in dance."

In fact, outside of the embodied intelligent robot sports event, the "Humanoid Robot Forum and Artificial Intelligence Empowering New Industrialization Deep Dive (Wuxi Station)" themed conference will also be held, focusing on discussions about the technological frontiers and trends of embodied intelligence, industry standards in the humanoid robot sector, as well as the in-depth exploration and practical challenges of humanoid robot application scenarios. According to the "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily," leaders from companies such as Yushu Technology, Leju Robotics, Xiaomi Humanoid Robotics, Shanghai Zhuoyide Robotics, and Guodi Joint Construction Humanoid Robotics will participate in this segment.
