1.What is Managed Subaccount?

Managed Subaccount is a type of sub accounts opened at the Gate. Multiple managed subaccounts can be created according to the VIP level of the main account, and can be connected to trading teams. Trading teams manage these subaccounts and practice different trading strategies to obtain profits and reduce risks.

2. How to Create a Managed Subaccount (Web Version)

1.Log in to the Gate account. Click the avatar icon in the upper right corner, and select “Sub Accounts”.

2.After entering the “Sub Accounts” page, click “Create Sub Account”.

3.Create a “Managed Subaccount”:
① Account type: From “Standard sub-account”/“Managed sub-account”, select “Managed sub-account”;
② Set the “Sub-account username”: should be letters or a combination of letters and numbers, click “Check if it’s available” to view whether the name has been taken;
③ Set “Trading Permission Settings”:Select Permitted Markets: Spot/Margin Trade, Perpetual Futures, Delivery Futures (all selected by default);
④ Remarks: Optional;
⑤ Verify your input and click “Confirm & Create” to submit.

Then, the 2FA Authentication is required. Users can choose Google Authentication or SMS Verification. After inputting the validation code, click “OK”, and the managed subaccount is successfully created.

3. How to Connect/Disconnect the Managed Subaccount (Web Version)

1.After the managed subaccount is successfully created, users can find it in “Subaccounts “ and click “Connect now” to connect it to a trading team.

2.Users need to enter the trading team’s account UUID when connecting. Users can contact customer support for the UUID and then connect.

3.After finding the trading team, users need to upload agreements negotiated and agreed upon by both parties. Agreements will be uploaded successfully after passing the security verification, and will be submitted to the Gate for review.

4.When the agreement is under review, in the “Subaccounts”, the status of the account will be displayed as “Connecting”. If approved, it will be displayed as “Yes“ ; if rejected, it will be displayed as “rejected” and users need to re-upload the agreement.

5.For managed subaccounts that have already been connected to trading teams, users can click “Manage”-“Disconnect” to disconnect.

6.Confirm the risk reminder.

7.Managed subaccounts will be disconnected successfully after passing the security verification. When the subaccount is disconnected, all positions will be automatically closed, and the assets in the account will be merged into the main account. At the same time, this managed subaccount will be deleted, and the corresponding trading team cannot perform subsequent operations on this account.

8.Note: When the balance of the managed subaccount is not enough to close the position, the disconnection will fail. Users need to transfer enough funds from the main account to the managed subaccount to close the position before initiating disconnection again.

4. How to Manage Managed Subaccounts (Web Version)

1.In Subaccounts, users can click “Manage”-“Trading Permissions” to configure the trading settings of its subaccount, which will take effect immediately after passing the security verification.

2.In Subaccounts, users can click “Manage”-“Reset Password” to reset the password of the managed subaccount.

3.In Subaccounts, users can click “Manage”-“Withdrawal Addresses Whitelist” to add the managed subaccount to the withdrawal whitelist.

4.In Subaccounts, users can click “Manage”-“Freeze/Activate” to freeze/activate the managed subaccount after passing the 2FA Authentication.

5.In Subaccounts, users can click “Manage”-“Transfer” to freely transfer funds in the managed subaccount.

5.How to Become a Trading Team? How Do Trading Teams Manage Managed Subaccounts (Web Version)

1.Users can apply to become a trading team by contacting customer support and providing relevant qualifications. After the application is approved, the marketing team will activate the relevant operation permissions and notify the trading team of the UUID.

2.If the managed subaccount connected to the trading team is displayed as “Managing” in the “Connected to a trading team?” column, managers of the trading team can click “Manage” - “API key Manage” to operate.

3.The trading team manager can perform trading operations by creating the API Key corresponding to the managed subaccount.
