If you need to change the username associated with your Gate.io account, please follow the instructions below to submit a request.
1. Required Information for the Request
- New Username
(Note: The new username must contain both letters and numbers, and must not include a mobile phone number.) - A photo of yourself holding your ID and a handwritten note
The note must clearly include the following details:
- Gate.io account UID
- Your full name
- The purpose: Request to change username
- Date of the request

2. Important Notes
Your username is used only for logging in and is not visible to other users. Your nickname, however, is the name displayed to others on Gate.io. If you wish to change your nickname, you can do so via the User Center , or in the mobile app by tapping your profile photo in the top left corner - “User Center” -“Nickname” and editing your nickname.
